No… of course not! What was I thinking?
I meant to start learning months ago, but the time just slipped by. Ah well, I guess I’ll just have to learn when I get there… just like how I had to learn German when we moved to Germany. And let’s face it, it can’t be harder than learning German!
So, a quick update:
We packed up everything in Germany, I flew to London and then took a train to Northampton, and Nigel cycled from Esslingen to Northampton over 10 days, raising an awesome amount of money for the Rescue Center Costa Rica .
Meanwhile, our belongings travelled by lorry to Northampton, taking a rather long detour via Poland and then having to do various stops for driver rest breaks and other planned deliveries. This resulted in the race we never knew we needed, and we totally wanted! It was Nigel on his bike vs. his pants in the van! And, amazingly, Nigel won by just 15 minutes.
We’ve spent some time in Northampton and Yorkshire visiting family and friends, and the time has zipped by.
So this morning, at an incredibly unreasonable 3am, we set off on our journey to San José, Costa Rica, where we will spend the next three months volunteering at the Rescue Center Costa Rica.
Next update coming to you soon… from Costa Rica! Yippeeeeee!
